Our Commitment

Church of the Living God, Westbury is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people, and vulnerable adults. We recognise that everyone has a responsibility to safeguard and promote the welfare of those in our care, and we take this responsibility seriously.

What We Do

• We follow safer recruitment practices for all roles involving children and vulnerable adults, including DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) checks
• We provide safeguarding training for all leaders and volunteers working with children and vulnerable adults
• We have clear procedures for reporting concerns
• We create safe environments for worship, learning, and fellowship
• We listen to and take seriously all concerns raised

Children and Young People

Our Sunday School and Youth groups operate with DBS-checked leaders. We maintain appropriate adult-to-child ratios, and no adult is left alone with a child. All activities are planned with the safety and wellbeing of children in mind.

Vulnerable Adults

We are committed to ensuring that vulnerable adults within our congregation and community are treated with dignity and respect. Our prayer ministry and pastoral care operate within clear guidelines and with appropriate oversight.
