The Healing Room

Prayer, counselling, and healing ministry — open to anyone

We see the healing ministry of Jesus as an intrinsic part of the reality of God in us and among us. We either proclaim the Gospel and demonstrate it, or demonstrate His power and proclaim the Gospel. Healing isn’t a sideline here — it is part of what we understand the Good News to be.

“God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.” — Acts 10:38

When we meet

The Healing Room runs monthly, by appointment, so there is unhurried time for each person. We also hold Christian Healing evenings at the chapel from time to time, 7.30pm to 9.00pm. Dates are announced in the weekly bulletin and on Sundays.

Where

Chapel at the rear, 3 Leigh Road, Westbury, Wiltshire BA13 3QN.

What to expect

There is no formula and no pressure. You will be listened to, and prayed for by people who do this often. Nothing you share goes beyond the people in the room. You don’t need to be a member, and you don’t need to believe anything in particular before you come.

Stories

From members of our own congregation, in their own words.

“My right leg was short. On a Sunday, hands were laid on me and my leg came out to exactly the same length as my left leg. I no longer have any need of the prosthetic heel raiser I used to wear. Praise God.” — Barry
“In 2024 at my annual eye check-up I was told I was developing macular degeneration. At church I asked for prayer. This year the optician told me not only was there no sign of it, but the condition of my eyes was better than the previous year.” — Sarah
